Long ago, people made their own butter as shops were not easily accessible. We made our own butter by pouring cream in a jar and shaking it. We observed how our liquid turned into thick whipped cream, then after more shaking it changed again into solid butter and buttermilk in the jar. We separated the buttermilk, rinsed the butter then spread it onto crackers for break.
We observed the changes in the cream and recorded our experiment on a worksheet, just like real scientists.
