Yesterday, we warmly welcomed Mrs Wright, along with our Governors Mr Mateer and Ms Henning, to say thank you and farewell to Mrs Wright.
We sang beautifully and added actions to two of our favourite assembly songs, filling the hall with joy and appreciation.
Primary 6 & 7 had written poems about their favourite memories of being in Mrs Wright’s class, and several pupils shared these during the assembly. Mr Mateer also shared his own memories and heartfelt thanks to Mrs Wright for all she has done.
Mrs Wilson thanked Mrs Wright for her dedication, hard work, and care for the pupils and staff of Milltown Primary School, highlighting the many positive contributions she has made to our school community.
We watched a PowerPoint celebrating some of our best times with her and then presented her with our gifts. Before saying goodbye to the pupils and staff, Mrs Wright shared her own best memories and her thoughts, leaving us with smiles, gratitude, and a deep sense of appreciation for all she has given to Milltown.
We wish Mrs Wright every happiness and success in the next chapter of her life. Her kindness, professionalism, and dedication will be greatly missed, and we send her our very best wishes for a healthy, happy, and fulfilling future.
