We discussed various weather elements and how we might make a kite fly. We collected sticks and attached them together with cord. We used newspaper to provide the lift surface. We decorated the kite with a variety of materials. We evaluated the activity and while most of us enjoyed the activity very much, some of us felt that we would have liked to vary the jobs we were doing in our groups. We also thought it might have been better to gather lighter sticks to make the kite fly better. We had a fun time flying our kites.
